Summer 2018

The Life of Mozart

A special kind of storytelling…history brought to life!

A frolicsome, gleeful and historically accurate play about one of the greatest geniuses who ever lived.

From start to finish this show is accompanies by Mozart’s breathtaking music. This play is especially designed to introduce young children to the vibrancy of history, the joy of music, and the true story of this very special composer’s life (This show is available in both English and Spanish).

This show has been the educational outreach program for the Mainly Mozart Festival in San Diego, CA and Tijuana, Mexico for over 15 years. The show itself lasts about a half hour, and we will be adding an interactive element (perhaps teaching the children a minuet…the Artistic Director has not decided yet!) and guided Q&A to the program to make it approx. 50 minutes in total.

Traveling Lantern is a year round company that brings five shows each year to your area. All of our shows are interactive theatre performances that involve the audience directly in the story. We have been performing during the school year for elementary schools and in the summer for library branches in eight states for over two decades, and our company has been in business since 1985.

We perform regularly for New York Public Library and New York Public Schools, Brooklyn and Queens Schools and Libraries, and for the National Theatre in Washington, DC. We wrote and performed an original show at Yosemite for 10 years. We perform all over Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Here is how our pricing works:

One show = $495

Two shows the same day = $445.50 each

Three shows the same day = $395 each

If we can get 6 shows in two days we can go down to $350 each.

Multiple bookings always get a discount, and there are no added costs of any kind.

We have some flexibility with our pricing for libraries that have very limited budgets.

Please call me with the particulars of your Library’s needs and we will always give you the best price we can!
