Hi all,

Hope your female students are participating in the GirlsGo Cyberstart competition.  I know my students are really enjoying it.

NJ is in second place (to Texas) with 800 girls participating (see list here) and 84 schools participating.   The goal from the Governor's office and the Director of NJCICC is 1000 participants.   Your help in reaching that goal is really appreciated.     There are prizes for the schools with the most participants in each state as well as individual prizes for the participants.   It is not too late to sign up and it is easy.   Round 1 ends on April 12th.

In order to qualify for round 2, which is the actual game, your club/school must have 5 girls complete at least 6 tasks (not a hard task).   Round 2 will last from April 22 - June 28 with over 200 challenges.    In round 2, your club/school will be given 50 extra site licenses above the number of girls who participated in round 1.  This is when you can invite to boys to participate.  NJ has 23 schools who have qualified from round 2.

Let me know if you have any questions, and lets get to 1000  (not binary for 8!!!)

Daryl
