We have officially launched our Girls Who Code Clubs 2019-20 Application!
As an international non-profit, we are so proud to work alongside Community Partners like yourself to close the gender gap in technology. Now in our 7th year, we have reached 185,000 girls supporting their passion to code!
This is an exciting time to join our movement -- we received 6,500 Clubs applications for just the 2018-19 year alone -- and we're hoping that you will join us!
To learn more, please read our Clubs 2019-20 flyer.
WHAT ARE CLUBS?
Clubs are FREE after-school programs for girls, in 3-5th or 6-12th grade, to use computer science to impact their community and join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models. They can be hosted in schools, universities, libraries, community centers, faith-based organizations, or nonprofits.
Clubs are led by Facilitators who can be teachers, computer scientists, librarians, parents, college students or volunteers from any background or field. Many Facilitators have NO technical experience and learn to code alongside their Club members with our comprehensive resources and support.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
1. Start a FREE Club at your school, campus, library, non-profit or faith based organization! You will need:
· Space to host the Club;
· Computers and internet connection for each Club student. Note that access to computers is optional for 3-5th grade Clubs;
· A faculty member, employee, student, or volunteer 18 or older affiliated with your organization who will be responsible for leading the Club and communicating with Girls Who Code.
Make sure to share the Girls Who Code Clubs 2019-20 Application and help us grow our sisterhood by forwarding this email to a friend!
