FYI,
This weekend’s a busy one for virtual events.
Besides the virtual Library of Congress’s National Book Festival, LOC.Gov/bookfest and the Free Virtual Los Angeles Libros Festival - Join us Saturday, September 26!, The Queens Public Library is hosting an all-day/all-ages event, QPL Comics, to celebrate Comic Book Day! All events are for free, no registration required, and should be a fun-filled day!
More info and links to access events can be found on queenslibrary.org/about-us/news-media/blog/...
Kara Brehm, Outreach Librarian from Cape May County Library posted this on NJLA’s Diversity & Outreach discussion list and I thought I’d share it was well:
Someone posted this to the Programming Librarian Interest Group on FB, and I thought others might be interested in this as well! This free Unconference is going to be a mix of public, academic, and school library staff talking about programming and outreach during COVID. There’s no sponsor, it’s just a group of passionate librarians who want to have a discussion and share ideas.
Date: Friday October 2nd, 2020
Time: 12-2 EST (via Zoom)
This is the FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ProgrammingLibrarianInterestGroup/permalink/3304393812971829 if you search “unconference” it was posted by one of the organizers.
