Día – Children’s Day/Book Day turns 25 this year!

Conceptualized by author Pat Mora, Día emphasizes the importance of diverse books for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Libraries and other organizations are encouraged to host Día programs on or around April 30 to mark the occasion.

 

Visit the National Día Program Registry to search for programs featuring diverse children’s literature near you or to add your own! Virtual and in-person events may be listed. Download booklists for children from birth through Grade 8, customize a Día poster with your event details and find more information on the Día website!
