The West Milford Township Library is searching for a dedicated Children’s Library Assistant. If you are friendly, customer-focused, and passionate about helping, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Key duties of the position include performing circulation functions, shelving and organizing materials, assisting patrons with materials location and selection, and assisting the Children’s Librarian with programming and other tasks as needed/assigned.

The candidate must possess at minimum, a high school diploma and previous experience working with children. Experience in customer service or library work is a plus. The position is 20 hours per week, and will include at least one evening, and weekends in rotation. The salary is commensurate with experience. This is a Civil Service position. Appointment will be provisional, pending NJ Civil Service procedures.
