FYI,

Just passing this along.

Hello everyone,

My name is Kelly Hydrick. In addition to studying for my MLIS, I am currently working as program manager for Climate Stories Project, a climate change communications forum which conducts and collects climate change oral histories and stories.

I just wanted to share that this summer we'll be running a free, online Climate Stories Ambassadors workshop. Over the course of three meetings (one meeting per month, with the first being July 2 at 12pm EST), workshop participants will receive guidance and training to help them carry out climate interviews and communicate with others in their communities about personal experiences with and responses to the changing climate. The workshop could be a great way for libraries and their users to get involved in climate communication.

For those who are interested, more information about the workshop as well as the registration link can be found at: Climate Stories Ambassadors

Climate Stories Ambassadors

Are you excited about building the climate storytelling movement? Climate Stories Project is seeking Climate Stories Ambassadors to carry out interviews and share climate stories from communities around the world. One of the greatest barriers to an effective and inclusive climate change movement is the lack of everyday conversations between community members about the climate crisis, including observations of change, engagement with emotional responses, and envisioning positive ways forward.

Climate Stories Project also runs workshops for public and private organizations as well as high school and college classes. Please reach out via email with any questions or comments; we'd love to hear from you. And please feel free to share this with anyone who you think might be interested.

Thanks very much!

Kelly
