New Jersey State Library to Provide Evanced Solutions Summer Reader to all NJ Public Libraries for Second Year

The New Jersey State Library is happy to announce that it has licensed software from Evanced Solutions (http://www.evancedsolutions.com) for the second year as part of a three-year contract to provide all NJ public libraries with free access to Evanced Solutions \x93Summer Reader\x94 online summer reading registration software. The State Library urges all NJ libraries to try this online program, provided by the NJ State Library at no cost to you and your library customers. This software can do the registration for the 2011 summer reading program and track customers\x92 reading progress via an online reading log. Reporting your summer reading statistics will now be easy! Plus, if you choose, library staff can manage prizes and incentives, and your library customers can submit book reviews to library staff to post on the library\x92s website or the library catalog. This web-based utility provides an efficient and effective way to manage the summer reading program. Library sta ff can easil y collect statistics and produce reports with only a few clicks. No more counting titles from reading folders and tallying statistics by hand!

The Evanced Solutions website will host this service that seamlessly melds the Summer Reader product into your library\x92s interface. This includes programs, database, and space on a shared server, connection of the server to Evanced Solutions high-speed internet connection, backup of the server\x92s hard disk and other maintenance on the server.

If your library would like to order this software to be installed at no cost to your library due to the State Library\x92s statewide license, please go to the Evanced Solutions website (http://www.evancedsolutions.com/njsrform.asp) and fill out and submit the form. This must be done before you can set up your individualized summer reading program at your library.

Evanced Solutions will also be offering two Webinar training sessions for NJ library staff throughout the state. The basic one is 201 - Summer Reader Day-to-Day Staff Management and will be held on April 4, at 10 am. To register go to https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/342434731
