FYI,

Sorry that I didn’t send this out sooner. It was in CSLP’s August newsletter. CSLP is doing a program submission contest for ideas for 2026’s Dinosaur theme with the slogan “Unearth a Story” with artwork by artist Kaylani Juanita. The details are below and also found here: https://www.cslpreads.org/submit-a-programming-idea/

DINOSAUR ALERT!

Help us Unearth a Story for our 2026 summer reading theme by submitting your brilliant, fun, and "dinotastic" educational programs for all ages for the 2026 manual!

The contest will run from now until September 20, 2024.  We want your ideas that are filled with all the dinosaurs, archaeology and paleontology that you can muster!  Our very own Managing Editor, Alyssa Graybeal, will choose one program from each category (children, teens, and adults), and one contributor of early literacy books and songs that best captures the theme. Program ideas submitted with photos (that the submitter owns the copyright to or are proven copyright free) have the highest chances of winning.

The winner in each category will get a coupon for $50 worth of merchandise in our store.  You can purchase some very fun and creative merchandise for 2025's Color Our World theme!
Use the submission form to submit your program ideas
here. There is no limit on the number of ideas a library can submit, but we're looking for high-quality, creative program concepts over quantity.
