2018 CSLP Teen Video Challenge – Deadline to receive the entry is February 28, 2018

Teens from New Jersey are invited to participate in the 2018 Teen Video Challenge (2018 TVC). This national initiative, sponsored by the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP), encourages teens to create videos that promote reading, public libraries, and the 2018 CSLP teen summer reading slogan, “Libraries Rock.” New Jersey’s statewide summer reading committee will judge the winning entry from any teen entries submitted. The winning video from each state that participates will be named one of the CSLP 2018 Teen Videos to promote summer reading nationwide. The deadline to submit an entry is Feb. 28. The winners will be announced by CSLP in April and posted on CSLP’s website. Each state’s winner will receive a cash prize of $100 (to be divided among the number of teens who create the video) and their public library will also receive a gift certificate for $50 from Upstart/Demco to purchase incentives. The CSLP 2018 Teen Video Challenge (TVC) entry form and the model release form for NJ should both be submitted. Interested teens must go through their local public library’s teen librarian to submit their entry. Collaboration between teens in school and public libraries to create the video is encouraged, although the video must be submitted with the teen public librarian’s approval. Questions?
