We did that a few years ago and it has proved to be popular.  We call it "Chapter Books" and put a sign describing the section as books for grades 2-4. We got "Chapter Book" stickers from Demco and put those on the books. The paperbacks are interfiled but still have the sticker. We found the kids were asking for  "Chapter Books" as a format. Our section is shelved in the same area as our longer Juvenile Fiction.

Hi all,

I am exploring the possibility of creating a new children's section in between Easy Readers and Juvenile Fiction for early chapter books with larger font, more pictures, and fewer pages than the longer chapter books.

Do you have a section like this in your library? If so, what do you call it? First chapters? Intermediate?

Thank you in advance for your response!

All the best,
