Hi, Everyone,

I’ve shared this at the CSS meetings but I’d also like to share it with anyone in a public library who works with children ages 5 – 12. Carolyn Sloan, the creator of this educational website that’s launching soon, is looking for feedback from families who have tried out the website.

TeachMe TV

TeachMeTV  is an educational website for kids ages 5-12 and their caregivers. It’s a learning platform for kids that also aims to assist parents by highlighting how they can help their kids in school and how they can support their learning in general. They have a lot of downloadables on their website, that’s a bit like Sesame Street, but with an emphasis on music. They haven’t launched the site yet because they need families to try it out first and have picked NJ public libraries and the families they serve to be the test cases. Author/website creator Carolyn Sloan is providing a promo logo and a link to a survey for families to fill out an evaluation. None of the information from families will be shared in any way. But, the first 100 families who do complete the survey will receive a free book mailed directly to their homes. If they are interested in that, they do have to provide an address.  I’m attaching a copy of the promotional logo and a letter that Carolyn hopes that you, as library staff, can share with families. Ideally, it would be best if the logo could be posted on your library’s website. Then, when a parent clicks on the “register here” button on the promo logo, they will be directed to a survey to try out the website. The survey link for the register button is: https://members.teachmetv.co/member/plans/d9bc91b756

If you don’t think your library would be willing to put the logo and survey link on your website, the letter includes the links to the website and evaluation too.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

Thanks.

~Sharon
