Introducing the LIFT Early Literacy Toolkit: A Bilingual Guide for Family Reading

 

This summer, families are finding new ways to nurture their children’s love of reading. Through Libraries Without Borders (LWB) LIFT pilot project, LWB US introduced the LIFT Caregiver Literacy Toolkit, a bilingual resource shaped by parents, librarians, and early childhood educators. The 20-page guide helps families turn everyday life into learning moments, with five simple, practical activities: Talk, Read, Sing, Write, and Play. The kit was designed so that no special materials or expertise are needed to implement in any home or family situation.
