Date: October 30th 2008

Hello all,

This is a reminder that the 2008 National Survey of Public Library Funding and Technology Access will close November 7, which leaves about 1 week in the survey cycle this year. So far the overall response rate from NJ is 23.5% and for the data to be valuable there has to be a response rate of 60% atleast. ALA and Information Institute at Florida State University are seeking your participation so that this data can be used for peer comparison, budget requests, advocacy, etc. in the future.

1) The Gates Foundation\x92s Opportunity Online library grantees should go to http://opportunityonlinesurvey.org to complete the survey, as they will not be able to get in to the main survey site.

2) The URL to complete the survey for non-Opportunity Online libraries is http://plinternetsurvey.org or directly at http://survey.pnmi.com/

3) Additional details on the survey are available at http://plinternetsurvey.org/

4) Results from the 2007-2008 Public Library Funding & Technology Access Study are available at http://www.ala.org/plinternetfunding

Please let me know if you need any further information. Also, the survey support team of John Bertot, Carla Wright, and Elise Jensen are available for any questions and/or issues you may encounter regarding the survey. They can be reached at support@PROTECTED or 850-645-2197.

Thanking you in making this important survey successful.
