Hello,
Assessing the ever growing demand for quick and easy access to public library statistics for comparison and reporting, I have set up trial for two web based products offering analytical / performance metric tools for comparative statistics on performance indicators for branch, region, state, and/or national level. Please critique the two products for their features, functionalities, and user experience that will best meet your reporting needs. The two products and their trial information are as follows:
"Bibliostat Connect" from Baker & Taylor. URL: http://connect.informata.com
Use any of the 4 trial logins and passwords: trial1 / trial1 trial2 / trial2 trial3 / trial3 trial4 / trial4 For product information please refer to the tutorial link "How do I?" on the login page and/or online brochure http://www.btol.com/pdfs/biblio_connect.pdf NB: You may need to download ActiveX to display graphs.
"LibPAS" from Counting Opinions. URL: http://www.countingopinions.com/
This trial information will be sent directly to you (or to the key contact as identified in their library's last annual State data filing) via email (under my signature) from Counting Opinions within 24 hours. Counting Opinions will use the LibPAS auto-communicate function to send an individualized email that will include the library's secure access code along with any other instructional information (e.g., support, test is limited to the NCES data file). If you do not receive your email from Counting Opinions with your secure access code within 24 hours of receipt of this message, go to the following url and follow the instructions http://njsl.countingopinions.com.
For product information please refer to the online brochure at http://www.countingopinions.com/products/libpas.php
The trial is valid for 2 weeks until June 14th.
Your feedback by June 15th on the following will be appreciated and helpful in deciding the product as it will ultimately be for your use: a) Features b) Functionalities / User Interface / User Experience c) Other comments
PS: In case there is a sufficient demand for an online demo session for each of the products, I can arrange a webinar after the trial period.
Cordially,
