Date: July 1st 2010

Dear Library Colleagues:

I have gotten requests for information on who has been invited to join our all-state advisory committee on Tuesday, July 6. We have tried to include representatives from NJLA, NJASL, NJALA, VALE, SLA, HSLANJ, computer consortia, regional library cooperatives, LNRB, LSTA, database task force, and county and municipal libraries from all areas of the state, etc.

Specifically, this group will be asked to consider:

How do we best acknowledge the work of the regions\x92 staff, members and the regional executive directors? How do we prioritize databases and other network projects? What kind of grants to libraries should we make in the coming year? What kind of CE opportunities are libraries most looking for? What is the best use of technology moving forward? Can this group assist with geographically-based meetings to communicate about our discussions? Assuming Per Capita State Aid is not increased, how important is it to your library as opposed to using the money other ways?

I am pleased to announce that the following people have indicated that they are willing to join us on Tuesday:
