It is about this time of year that we get emails and phone calls requesting information about the minimum funding for municipal and joint libraries. If you need this year\x92s amount, go to http://www.njstatelib.org/LDB/State_Aid/ \x932010 Minimum Amount Needed to Qualify for $1_25 Per Capita (One-Third Mill) and 2009 Equalized Valuation\x94. Treasury does not have the equalized valuation figures for the coming year available until October (generally the first Monday).

The anticipated schedule is as follows: \x95 The 1/3 mill amounts for 2011 should be available after the first week in October. \x95 Preliminary and final PCSA amounts will be available in September. \x95 PCSA checks will be mailed by October 1, 2010. \x95 The 2010 Survey will be available the second week of January.

Please note that while there are too many variables for us to predict the amount of money you will receive in October, we do know that there is 48% less available to fund the program.
