Show Your Value With Up-To-Date Statistics at Your Finger Tips. As a Bonus Your Library Might Win a Free iPad!
The New Jersey State Library has set up the Counting Opinions software system to gather your library\x92s monthly and annual statistics. We have done this so you and NJSL have the most up-to-date statistical information at our fingertips when we need it to speak with local officials and legislators.
Since January, eleven libraries have participated in the pilot for this system. They have worked to tweak it and we are all confident that it will produce the numbers that will help us show our value to our elected officials and other stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. The group has also indicated that it\x92s easy to use and since most of the numbers are those they are already gathering, it\x92s not really adding to their workload.
Thank you to our pilot libraries that have entered their January and February data into the system. These pilot libraries are: Cape May County Library, Haddonfield Public Library, Long Branch Free Public Library, Middletown Township Public Library, Monroe Township Public Library-Middlesex , Mount Laurel Public Library, North Brunswick Free Public Library, Paterson Free Public Library, Rahway Public Library, Sayreville Free Public Library, and Sparta Public Library.
Join Us! We would like your library to join them in the month of April. Lindsay Thompson, from Counting Opinions will be leading five webinars the beginning on April 13. Each month the names of every library that has entered their data into Counting Opinions will be entered into a random drawing. The library chosen will receive an iPad for their library. The contest will run from March 2011 through February, 2012.
