Thirty grants of $150 each are now available for the American Library Association-Allied Professional Association\x92s certification projects: the Certified Public Library Administrator\xAE Program (CPLA) and the Library Support Staff Certification Program (LSSC). www.ala-apa.org

These grants apply only to the two applicable courses offered by the University of North Texas\x92s Lifelong Education @ Desktop (LE@D) online continuing education project: www.leadonline.info.

LSSC program: Deadline to apply for grant: August 5, 2011
Deadline to register for the course: August 12, 2011
Communication and Teamwork ($350 without grant)
Eight-week online, asynchronous
August 17 \x96 October 18, 2011 

CPLA program: Deadline to apply for grant: August 24, 2011
Deadline to register for the course: August 31, 2011
Management of Technology ($300 without grant)
Eight-week online, asynchronous
September 7 \x96 November 2, 2011

Fifteen grants are available for each course on a first-come, first-serve basis. We reserve the right to limit the number from any one state. Preference will be given to participants in the respective certification programs, but all are welcome to apply.

Send your name, work address, position, phone, and e-mail to Kevin Haney, Project Director, at Kevin.Haney@PROTECTED. Include in which program you are a participant and for which course you would like the grant. The grant must be used by the registration deadlines, or they will be released for another applicant.
