Dear Colleagues,

I still have not heard from EBSCO regarding Rosetta Stone, but thanks to Kassundra Miller, Director of the Hillside Public Library, we may have a solution to the error messages people are getting when they try to access Rosetta Stone training modules. 

 

After accessing Rosetta Stone from JerseyClicks or the URL from our Statewide Database URLs webpage (http://www.njstatelib.org/services_for_libraries/statewide_services/urls/) it asks you for your Username (email address), Password and Language.  The language you choose must be the language you wish to learn, not the language you already speak.  After launching Rosetta Stone it asks you to choose your language again.  This must match the first language.  After that you can choose your course level and enter into the program.  If anyone still has issues after trying this process please let me know so I can let EBSCO know. 

 

Some other things to note about Rosetta Stone: Rosetta Stone requires Adobe Flash Player to run.  It also requires a headset with a microphone since most of the tutorials use voice recognition.  We will have more information in the coming days regarding training for Rosetta Stone so please keep an eye out for that.
