The New Jersey State Library is currently recruiting new members for this Advisory Council. The Council typically meets annually, except in years when the five year LSTA plan is reviewed and a new one created (this just occurred in 2017). The term of office is two years, with the option to be re-appointed for a second two year term. Members have the opportunity to meet with the LSTA program managers from the State Library, be briefed on the combined LSTA and Network Aid budget and review the annual State Program Report before it is sent to the Institute of Museum and Library Services. At this time, the Council is in need of members with experience in the following areas: college, school and public libraries, information technology and special needs.
