Special note: It's definitely leadership time in the NJ library community. There are two different programs out there: NJLA's Emerging Leaders for early career professionals, and the New Jersey State Library's Leadership Academy, for librarians with at least five years professional experience. We hope you will consider participating in the one best suited to you. It's an investment in your professional development and in the future of New Jersey's libraries!
Are you a burgeoning library leader with at least 5 years of experience? If so the New Jersey State Library has an opportunity for you!
The 2018-2019 Library Leadership Academy offers you an opportunity to invest in your own development AND in the future of NJ's libraries. The Academy will offer hands-on training activities, networking opportunities, and relevant speakers addressing the dynamically changing world of today's libraries.
Topics will include:
• Branding & Marketing to reach your future users
• Politics and Partnerships to expand your reach
• Identifying Future Trends impacting tomorrow
• Assessing Community Needs to customize resource selection
WHEN & WHERE:
Eight sessions will be held monthly, October 2018 through May 2019, at the Monmouth County Library, Headquarters Branch, in Manalapan.
COST:
$300 - includes continental breakfast and lunch at each of the eight sessions.
**Participants are expected to attend all sessions. Space is limited to 30 registrants.
