You’re invited! NJSL has 30 open licenses available for New Jersey libraries to participate in a pilot program with the Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment project. While Northstar is free to use, a license for your library (single location or including branches) will allow you to assess users and issue digital literacy certificates. Northstar is a preeminent tool for helping people understand their digital literacy skills and needs, and has curriculum available for designing digital literacy classes. NJSL is pleased to make this available on a pilot basis through September 2022. If you’re interested in signing up, please fill out this form by Friday, October 22, 2021. We will assign the licenses on a first come-first serve basis. Please note if you are NJSL + Partners Literacy program participant (Hubs and Spokes & libraries hosting Access Navigators), you do not need to sign up separately. Your participation is included in the project plans.
Please note if you want to participate in this program, you need to agree to Northstar Digital Literacy Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Testing Location Agreement which you will find on the sign-up form.
If you have any questions, please email Mimi Lee, Diversity and Literacy Consultant, Lifelong Learning at mlee@PROTECTED.
Thanks!
