Sharon--How about Straw into Gold by Gary Schmidt--a "what if"  "retelling" of Rumpelstiltskin-also no list should be without Anne Sexton's Transformations--very powerful retellings of several Grimm tales in verse.  Please share the final list.
Thanks

Hi everyone and happy holidays,

I'm posting this on behalf of Susan Conlon, Princeton Public Library.
She's putting together a \x93Re-Told Fairy Tales\x94 YA Fiction list and is
looking for suggestions. I've added a few and will add more since I wrote
an entry on fairytale retellings for the Continuum Encyclopedia of Young Adult
Literature but don't have the bibliography handy.
I also added titles from ALA's Popular Paperback Committee's Gateway to
Faerie list from a few years ago.

Susan says she would appreciate any suggestions people have and will share the
final list.

Thanks!

Susan Conlon & Sharon Rawlins
