Just a note to remind NJ librarians that NJLA Children's Services Section is again running the Books for Kids Program to collect books to be given to children and teens throughout NJ who have limited access to books this holiday season. If your library has participated in the past, you should have received your packet in mid-September. If you haven't participated but are interested in learning more, information is available on the NJLA website http://www.njla.org/ (info. is on the opening screen).

Some libraries have indicated they might want to partner with local baseball teams to drum up enthusiasm (and the teams we have spoken to seem enthusiastic). We have a few contacts (listed below) but if yours isn't listed, give them a call!

One more thing -- We have run out of this year's posters, but are happy to send copies of earlier (undated) posters to any library who needs them.
