A costume contest might be interesting, since they play so much importance with the sponsors in the books. You could provide some odd and end materials (toilet paper, duct tape, etc.) to have kids come up with something in a short amount of time.

Also, I know that Scholastic had handed out mockingjay pins at BookExpo. You could have blank stickers on hand for teens to design their own while they're waiting for the contest to start.
