Similar to this idea is a game in which the supplies are inside a circle. One person acts as the guard while the other players try to retrieve supplies. Anyone tagged by the guard is out.

A co-worker, Doreen, suggested a game: remember the part in the book where the kid stays to protect the food the rich kids have stocked up on? Have the "food/supplies" in the middle or end of a room and have the kids race to get one of the items and back to their designated spot. Whomever gets back last is eliminated.

How about camo face painting? Depending on time teams could work as game masters to design an arena (maybe diorama style). What about something on wilderness survival and/or edible plants? I know I kept thinking that there was no way I would be able to find food! You could maybe use info from The Worst Case Survival Handbook or contact a scout leader.
