HI, All -
Just a disclaimer. Although Jackie worked for me for some time, I have no knowledge of or relationship with either the book she discusses or with its author and will not be among those volunteering to write a blurb for
Amazon.

Please excuse any cross-postings.

I received an e-mail from a former staff member for the children's & teen section of a public library who is looking for a librarian to read and post a review of a children's book on Amazon. I'm including her message. Please CONTACT HER DIRECTLY if you are interested in reviewing the book. She will then get in touch with the author and have a book sent to you. He is just looking for a quote or two.

Thanks!
Sharon Rawlins, Youth Services Consultant, NJ State Library

"I once worked at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library, first, for Paula Lefkowitz, in the Children’s Department, and then, as the “Teen Coordinator” for the library’s Young Adult Department.

An acquaintance of mine, Chef J. Hugh McEvoy, along with his co-author, Virginia Erwin has written a children’s book, “What Color Is a Pickle Pie?”

While Chef was easily able to garner ‘blurbs’ from his contacts in the food business:

"Absolutely Great. Good for you for contributing to the knowledge in this critical area... our children's health. As Dean of Culinary Arts and a mother of three I have professional insight into this area and personal experience as well."  Eve Felder, MS, CHE, CEC, Dean of Culinary Arts, The Culinary Institute of America.

"This book is adorable. So much fun. Great book! Let's hope this is one message that definitely stays with our kids for all of their lifetimes. The book is a wonderful effort. It will be a smash. Thanks for the energy you are putting into our children's future." Annette Hinton, MS, RD, LD, CEC. Past Chair - Food & Culinary Professionals, American Dietetic Association.

He contacted me for a blurb from the ‘children’s librarian side’ of things. I’ve not worked in libraries for some three years now, and don’t feel qualified to extol the virtues of his book.   Can you send this out to librarians so that someone might be willing to read and review this book?
