I thought I’d share this site, it’s a good source for game templates you can use to create games (or spoofs of games) from TV like The Hollywood Squares, Who Want’s to Be a Millionaire, Jeopardy, and my favorite, the $10,000 Pyramid: http://www.murray.k12.ga.us/teacher/kara%20leonard/Mini%20T%27s/Games/Games.htm. You can download these PowerPoint templates and customize them. I recently used the $1,000,000 Pyramid (1,000,000 Pyramid) including its groovy 70’s theme song at our staff development day, with all of the categories related to our library. You could build your own competitions and trivia games around books, sports, history, pop culture, whatever, and tie into reading “When You Reach Me” and “The Hunger Games” too.
