I was just catching up on some journal reading and stumbled upon a notice in Booklist for the Kate McClelland & Kathy Krasniewicz Memorial Scholarship.  The two aforementioned ladies were librarians who lost their lives in an accident leaving the ALA conference in Denver last January and Random House is sponsoring this scholarship which honors them by sending a new librarian or library school student to their first ALA conference in Washington DC in June.  I knew Kate, and I am certain that she would be tickled by this lovely gesture that Random House has made.
