PRINCETON PUBLIC LIBRARY ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FOR
STUDENT FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL
Original films by young adults sought for 7th annual
festival, July 21 and 22, 2010
Princeton Public Library is accepting original film
submissions for the July 21 and 22, 2010 Princeton Student Film & Video
Festival, now in its 7th year. The student filmmakers will be invited to
introduce and talk about their work during the popular two-day festival, which
is intended for teen and adult audiences.
Films are sought from students age 14-24, and the films
should have a running time of 20 minutes or less.
Students are encouraged to submit films in a wide range
of genres and styles. In previous years, the films included documentaries,
comedies, dramas and animated and experimental works. This year some of the
films selected may also be screened at the Artist Visions Film Festival, a new,
first-year festival in nearby Lambertville, New Jersey.
The films must be on a clearly labeled DVD, accompanied
by a completed entry form. While students are allowed to enter more than one
project, each entry must have its own form and appear on a separate DVD.
The deadline for receiving submissions is June 21, 2010.
Guidelines and entry forms are available at www.princetonlibrary.org/teens/media/index.html,
with a call for entries flyer that can be downloaded for posting, as well as
the schedule of films from past years and related articles and resources.
