Hi, Samuel,
For
my teens/tweens, I do a small weekly incentive prize and weekly raffles for
larger prizes. They get a raffle ticket each week IF they fill out their
reading log-a few sentences about the book they’re reading, title author,
etc. Prizes this year include: 2 Great Adventure theme park day passes, 6
Keansburg Water park tickets, one book of five games of miniature golf at Hole
in One, 4 gift certificates for Time to Kiln pottery sessions with the pottery
included, 3 Jersey Mike’s lunches, 2 beach bags with towel and Frisbees,
Red Bank Ice Complex skating passes (not sure how many yet), Girl Authority
Musical Celebration at the PNC Bank Arts Center (I asked for 4 passes which includes
8 kids and 2 adult chaperones for each pass). I was contemplating getting a
FLIP video like I did last year as a super grand prize, maybe some ear buds or
a 4 pack of $15 ITUNES gc (as separate prizes of course) but I think I’ll
stick with what I have as most of it was donated. Hope this helps. Good luck
with your summer reading program.

Hi all,
Do any libraries offer Grand Prizes for Summer Reading Programs? If so, what
sort of prizes are they?
Regards,
Samuel
