Youth Services Forum – Thursday, November 1, 2012

The State Library is partnering with NJLA and NJASL for the annual Youth Services Forum at the Monroe Public Library in Middlesex County (note: this is a new location) from 8:45 am – 2:30 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2012.

• Come hear keynote speaker Marna Elliott, the Branch Manager of the Bridgewater Branch of the Somerset County Library System, talk about how library policies can help us serve our young library customers more effectively.
• Take advantage of some of the other topics being offered including geocaching; outreach programming ideas; using social media for inspiration and collaboration, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) programming;  gaming;

grant writing; and best practices in early literacy.

• In between sessions,  shop at the NJLA Store. Breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee. Continuing education credits will be available and raffle prizes will be awarded.
• Deadline to register is October 22, 2012.
