From Michael:
I'm writing once again to offer nonprofit partners an opportunity to acquire You, Me, and the ABCs: 100 Ready-for-Reading Activities for Kids and Their Favorite Grown-ups in a new Spanish edition
or in English for 85% off the retail price of $11.95: So that’s $2 per book. We’re just covering the costs of production, royalties, and shipping; no other profit is being taken. By creating a large print run and shipping directly from the printer without
warehousing, we can lower the per-book cost and make them available for this initial distribution. In May of this year, we distributed 35,000 new copies of the book to organizations throughout the country. And this new printing is prompted by the upcoming
national conference of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), where I will be presenting a featured workshop with The Dallas Foundation on the efficacy of this book.
The full-color, 56-page paperback features 100 ways to use household objects and everyday activities to create a literacy-rich environment—all offered in simple language that welcomes both a young pre-reader and a caregiver.
The English edition was originally underwritten by the Ohio Children’s Foundation and supported by partnerships with First Book, First Book Marketplace, and Gryphon House Publishing. Over a period of three years, 125,000 copies of the book have reached pre-readers—particularly those
in low-income families. Designed to be responsive to contemporary reading expectations for young children, the book has now been translated and adapted for Spanish speakers thanks to the support of the Zero to Five Funders Collaborative in Dallas and the
Rainwater Foundation in Fort Worth.

We hope you will strongly consider this chance to order for books at this before-printing price. Minimum order for each edition is 500 copies. Finished books will be shipped in November. All orders must be confirmed
by 30 September 2014.
Sincerely,
Michael J. Rosen, Author & Educator
