Apply by June 1^st for a Teen Read Week Grant!

Ten $1,000 grants will be distributed to libraries to support their literacy focused TRW activities.  For details or to access the application, visit http://teenreadweek.ning.com/page/grants.  Teen Read Week will be celebrated Oct. 18 – 24 with the theme “Get Away @ your library.”  Visit www.ala.org/teenread for all your TRW planning needs!

Would You Like Some Free Books?

From now through May 1^st YALSA is accepting applications from libraries in need who would like to receive a set of 2015 Teens’ Top Ten nominees.  For details or to access the application, visit http://teenreadweek.ning.com/page/grants.  The nominees will be posted online during National Library Week at www.ala.org/yalsa/teenstopten.  A free toolkit to help library staff incorporate the Teens’ Top Ten into their summer reading/learning programs is also available from that site.

Apply for Funds to Attend the YA Services Symposium

Between now and June 15^th, apply for $1,000 to defray the cost of travel to YALSA’s symposium, which will be held Nov. 6 – 8, 2015, in Portland, OR.  Learn more and view the preliminary program at www.ala.org/yalsa/yasymposium
