Apply for the 2019 Best Practices in Early Literacy Awards – Deadline March 8, 2019
The New Jersey State Library is accepting
application forms
for the annual Best Practices in Early Literacy Award. The award honors up to four outstanding public libraries that currently provide exemplary literacy programs for children from birth to six years, their families and caregivers. The award provides
a $1,000 honorarium, a certificate, and promotion of the winning library as a model program for other libraries. The winning libraries will be honored during the State Librarian's Breakfast at the 2019 NJLA Conference at Harrah's in Atlantic City.
The deadline to apply is March 8, 2019. Consult the

Chipotle Reading Rewards are special bookmarks that include FREE Kid’s Meal cards (for grades K-5) or Buy-One/Get-One
FREE entrée cards (for grades 6+). Only online submissions are being accepted.

The Statewide Summer Reading Committee is hosting the 2019 Summer Reading Workshops:

Friday, March 15th at Gloucester County Library, Mullica Hill
·
Monday, March 18th at Franklin Township Public Library (Somerset County)
·
Monday, March 25th at Monroe Township Public Library (Middlesex County)
Each workshop is from 9:30am-1:30pm and is full of inspiring ideas for all ages - from the youngest to adults - presented by our committee members.
Have some old prizes that you just can’t get rid of? Participate in our new "Incentive Swap!" Bring your old prizes and walk away with something new.
