FYI,

 

New Jersey libraries are invited to participate in Take Your Child to the Library Day!  It’s a CT based project but they are hoping to grow the program for 2023 and are looking for more of the libraries in the tri-state area to participate. About 1500 libraries participate each year but only a handful of New Jersey libraries have participated in the past.    

Take Your Child to the Library Day (TYCLD) has grown to be an international initiative that encourages families everywhere to take their children to their local library.  We hope that it raises community awareness about the importance of the library in the life of a child and promotes library services and programs for children and families.

 

TYCLD is officially held on the first Saturday in February but the date is flexible.  TYCLD celebrations can happen at any time in February.  Libraries can participate in whatever way they want.  They can have a special performers or storytime, they can have a craft project or a scavenger hunt, anyway they want as long as it encourages people to take their children to the library.
