FYI,

The Coretta Scott King Book Awards Round Table Standing Program Committee has planned a literature week, Reading Coretta's Books, in celebration and remembrance of Mrs. Coretta Scott King.  Through the virtual Coretta Scott King Book Awards Literature Week, January 15-19, 2024, participants can learn about Mrs. King's life and hear a special reading of one of the award-winning CSKBART titles.  Program dates, book titles, and speakers are listed on the attached poster.  All virtual programs start each day at 7:00 PM EST, 6:00 PM CST, and 4:00 PM PST.

Given annually, the Coretta Scott King Book Awards serve as a guide for parents, librarians, and caregivers to the most outstanding books for youth by African American authors and illustrators that affirm African American culture and universal human values.

Join thousands of libraries and classrooms from across the country as we remember, celebrate, and recognize Mrs. Coretta Scott King's work in social justice through the Coretta Scott King Book Awards Literature Week.
