The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) Membership Committee is pleased to invite you to our virtual ALSC 101 event on Friday, April 19th at 2:00 PM EST for an exploration of ALSC Committee work!
This virtual event, An Introduction to ALSC Committees, will discuss all the fantastic opportunities to serve on an ALSC committee. While many of us are familiar with the Newbery and Caldecott committees, did you know that ALSC has over 60 additional opportunities to participate in committees, task forces, and discussion groups?
At this event, you will gain insight into the diverse committees available, understand the application process and timeline, and learn about the valuable skills you can acquire through committee service. Get firsthand insights as committee chairs and members join us to share their experiences and answer your questions. This ALSC 101 session is open to everyone. You do not need to be an ALSC member to attend.
You can register for the event here. If you cannot make that time, please still register and a recording of the event will be emailed to you.
