FYI,
The State Library of North Carolina has generously offered to share their Leap Into Science online interactive learning modules to all library staff in any state through Niche Academy. There are 3 curriculum training modules available in the online modules: Balance, Light & Shadow, and Wind.
Developed by The Franklin Institute Science Museum in Philadelphia, PA, Leap into Science is a national program designed to build interest and skills in science and literacy for children ages 3 – 10 and their families, in community settings like libraries, museums, and out-of-school time programs. I, along with other NJ state leadership trainers, offered this in-person and virtual training to a number of libraries and afterschool organizations in New Jersey in the past.
The State Library of North Carolina’s Niche Academy is completely open. If a library staff member does not already have access to Niche, you will need to create a free account first.
All the best,
Sharon Rawlins, MLS (she/her/hers) Library Development Bureau P. 609-278-2640 x116 |
