Please excuse cross postings
Hello, Public Library Youth Services and Reference Staff,
Have you ever thought about where the national CSLP summer public library themes and slogans come from? Who thinks them up? How we select each year’s slogan? Well, the answer is YOU! Each year CSLP seeks feedback from participating public library staff for future summer slogan and theme suggestions for the summer reading programs for children, teens and adults. Public libraries from across the U.S. also contribute, and together, we come to consensus. Now is your time to be heard! Please complete this brief survey: https://shorturl.at/vQZsE to suggest a slogan for the 2028 theme of Mythical Creatures and a fresh, new theme for 2029.
Some tips for themes and slogan suggestions:
--Adaptable for all ages (children to adults)
--Translatable into Spanish
--Avoid puns and wordplay
--Catchy, memorable, concise
--Inclusive, accessible, applicable across settings
For a list of previous themes and slogans go to: https://www.cslpreads.org/themes-and-slogans/. Please share your suggestions via the survey by Sunday, February 2nd, 2025.
Thank you so much! I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
~Sharon
