A section of state law regarding municipal and joint libraries, N.J.S.A. 40:54-15, has been revised to permit the library board of trustees to transfer funds from the municipal or joint library\x92s funds on hand to the municipality. The law took effect at the end of April. This action may only be taken after meeting certain requirements, and pending approval by the State Librarian. Should the board of trustees wish to pursue this action, please contact me at vrosch@PROTECTED. I will email you the steps, requirements and form necessary to begin the process.
