The State Library has received a request for used books and computers to help start a library in the state of Lagos in Nigeria. The letter states, \x93Shomolu Local Government is one of the largest local government areas of Lagos State. With a population of over a million inhabitants, it is regrettable that there is no single library in the whole local government area \x96 public or private. The Library is hoped to be replete with books for all categories of students, irrespective of level and discipline. A section will be reserved for computer training and skill acquisition. Above all, considering the place of Information Technology in today\x92s environment, the Library will be adorned with Internet Services. All those facilities are to be provided to students and users at no cost to them.\x94
