Math at the Library: Where's the Fun in That?
At this workshop, you'll explore Mixing in Math, a set of ideas for library displays, stories, games, and activities that support quantitative literacy. We'll introduce Mixing in Math games that help kids grow more confident in and skilled at categorizing, estimation, fractions, and measurement, while also motivating use of fiction and non-fiction collections.
This meeting is an opportunity to hear about how your library can participate as a test site for newly developed displays, games, and activities.
Participants will leave with activities, icebreakers, quiet games, and book suggestions. The program is geared for librarians working with grades K - Gr. 5.
