The 2008 National Survey of Public Library Funding and Technology Access will close November 7, which leaves 6 weeks in the survey cycle this year. It sounds like quite a while, but it can sure fly by pretty quickly! Here are a few things to keep in mind: 1) The Gates Foundation\x92s Opportunity Online library grantees should go to http://opportunityonlinesurvey.org to complete the survey, as they will not be able to get in to the main survey site. 2) The URL to complete the survey for non-Opportunity Online libraries is http://plinternetsurvey.org or directly at http://survey.pnmi.com/ 3) Your participation in the survey is very important as \x93data from the enhanced study will help you to identify the impacts of your library's public computer and Internet access on the community that your library serves. The survey data also will give national and state policymakers, practitioners, library supporters, researchers, government and private funding organizations and other stakeholders a better understanding of the issues and needs that your library faces in providing public computer and Internet access services and resources\x94.
