The NJ State Library and INFOLINK have continued to pursue accurate information concerning the recent news that statewide access to the Newark Star-Ledger through the State Library's statewide subscription to Gale Custom Newspapers will end on December 31, 2008 and that access will be exclusively through Newsbank as of January 1, 2009, I will forward definitive information to all listservs when I have received such from Gale. Please do not sign a contract with Newsbank for the Star-Ledger at this time, as should the State Library be unable to negotiate a statewide license for the Star-Ledger INFOLINK Executive Director Cheryl O\x92Connor has indicated her willingness to negotiate a database discount offer with Newsbank for NJ libraries.
