The Theater Project's Seventh Annual Young Playwrights Competition for NJ High School Playwrights Prizes $600 - $400 - $200 Savings bonds

Guidelines

Entries must be Post-marked by January 31, 2009 All submissions must be at least 10 but no more than 30 pages (excerpts of longer work are OK!). Original work only, no adaptations. Scripts must be typed in play format. All entrants must be NJ residents in secondary school. Winning scripts will receive script-in-hand performances where authors will receive their prizes and certificates. (March \x9109) To Enter: By January 31, 2009, submit a 10 to 30 page script according to the guidelines above to The Theater Project, Union County College, 1033 Springfield Avenue, Cranford NJ, 07016. All entries must include an SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope), a 50 word biography of the author including contact information, and the $5 entrance fee (check or money order, payable to THE THEATER PROJECT). Only one entry per author. Please remember that you must be a resident of New Jersey and a secondary school student in the 2008-09 academic year to be eligible.
