The National Endowment for the Humanities is accepting applications for the We the People Bookshelf Award. This year's theme is "Picturing America." Those who win the We the People Bookshelf Award will receive a set of hardcover books for young readers. They all are related to the picturing America theme. This program is open to all public libraries and school libraries (K-12) that are located in the United States and its territories. This award will be provided to 4,000 libraries. You can download the We the People Bookshelf Award application right on the website that is listed below. Follow the instructions, and you're on your way to having a shot at winning one of the Endowment's most cherished library awards.
