Registration is now open for the New Jersey State Library\x92s New Directors\x92 Orientation. The workshop will be held on February 11th & 18th, 2009 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.

This is a two-day orientation workshop for new public library directors. Registrants must attend BOTH days.

The workshop will offer new directors training in New Jersey library law and state aid, budget and finance, library technology and E-rate, library marketing, writing effective policies, and more. This is your opportunity to hear presentations by members of the New Jersey State Library staff and library luminaries including Patricia Tumulty, NJLA Executive Director, W. Keith McCoy, Director, Roselle Public Library and Deborah Dennis, Associate Director, Camden County Library System.

Registration is limited to 25. The online registration process is for new directors ONLY. Branch managers and others holding administrative positions may apply by calling David Lisa at 609-278-2640 ext. 191. New directors are given preference in the registration process, but branch managers and administrators are welcome to apply.

This FREE workshop is held at the New Jersey State Library in Trenton, New Jersey.
