The ALA Washington office has contacted me and said there is a chance that funding for library construction will be

part of the Obama trillion dollar stimulus package. Projects will have to be \x93shovel ready.\x94

If you are working on library construction in any way, I urge you to review the construction grant as posted on our

State Library web site, since the application will be the same or very close to it. I also urge you to

hasten your projects along, so that you can be ready to go, if funds are announced.
